Brunch Artist Talk with Betye Saar
November 23, 2013

Betye Saar is a recycler, conjurer, and one of the great assemblagists of our time. With arrays of found objects, ranging from the seductively mystical to the ordinary, Saar has over her long career found ways into the darkest recesses and sweeping hopes of the American experience. ArtTable members enjoyed brunch, an exhibition tour, and an artist talk with Saar, MoCA’s “Distinguished Woman in the Arts” recipient, in celebration of her new project room installation, “The Alpha & Omega,” at Roberts & Tilton. During the tour, Saar invited members to experience a “meditation” in the venue, followed by a light brunch and guided conversation between the artist and Suzanne Isken, executive director of the Craft and Folk At Museum.
