New York, Day Trip: Yayoi Kusama at the Philip Johnson Glass House
Members toured Yayoi Kusama: Dot Obsession—Alive, Seeking for Eternal Hope,
covering the Glass House with her signature infinity polka dots and the newest iterations
of Narcissus Garden, a spectacular installation that playfully engages the Glass House’s
49-acre landscape with a sprinkling of Kusama’s hypnotic spheres and speckled
pumpkins. This site-specific installation marked the first-ever opening of the lower
meadow to the public, giving attendees a never-before-seen vantage point of the Glass
House on the tree-lined hillside and down at the Narcissus Garden.
