Memories of a Day with Georgia O’Keeffe: A conversation with Mary Lynn Kotz
March 23, 2010

Acclaimed author, journalist, and ArtTable member Mary Lynn Kotz shared her memories of “the day that changed my life.” In 1977, Kotz interviewed then ninety-year-old Georgia O’Keeffe at her homes in Abiquiu and Ghost Ranch. The resulting article, “Georgia O’Keeffe at 90,” appeared in the December 1977 issue of ARTnews. Kotz is the author of several critically acclaimed books, including Rauschenberg: Art and Life, Upstairs at the White House, and Marvella, and she co-authored A Passion for Equality, with her husband, Nick Kotz. She also serves as a contributing editor to ARTnews and has written for many major magazines in her distinguished career as a journalist.
