ArtTable’s First Annual Benefit Luncheon
1993

Kitty Carlisle Hart received ArtTable’s first Distinguished Service to the Visual
Arts Award. The presentation luncheon, which became an annual event, was
attended by 130 members and 170 guests. New York Governor Mario Cuomo
called Ms. Hart “the world’s most beloved advocate of the arts.” Sculptor Nancy
Dwyer designed a piece spelling out the word “Art” especially for Ms. Hart.
