Laurie McGahey
Philadelphia Chapter Co-Chair

Laurie McGahey is the Deputy Director of the Michener Art Museum. In this role she manages the Corporate Business Partners program, develops corporate and foundation relations, in addition to supporting the Michener in exhibition sponsorships, donor cultivation and stewardship, annual fund, and grants. Prior to this role Laurie served in senior development roles at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA), and Orange County Museum of Art in Newport Beach, California. At The Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia she was successful in leading communications, public relations, and development, and served as assistant director. The Montgomery County native earned a bachelor’s degree in art history at Temple University and a master’s degree in arts administration at Drexel University. She has given talks and served as a guest speaker on donor development and grantwriting for the Getty Foundation, MOCA Los Angeles, and The Public School for TELIC Arts Exchange. She is currently the Co-Chair of the ArtTable Philadelphia Chapter.
