ArtTable’s Philadelphia chapter brings together our city’s female arts leaders to discuss strategizing the future of Arts and Culture in the wake of drastic public budget cuts of the city’s arts programs. Earlier in May, Mayor Jim Kenny introduced a 2021 budget proposal that eliminates both the Philadelphia Cultural Fund and the Office of Arts and Culture and Creative Economy. We discussed this industry-threatening cut, the potential impact, and the organizational efforts taken by arts communities to stay afloat during this crisis.
