Virtual | AT Connect with Aubrey Catrone
January 27, 2021

ArtTable’s AT Connect program series encourages members to network, connect, and ask questions outside of their regular areas of expertise. In this session we heard from Aubrey Catrone, an international art historian, appraiser, and provenance researcher. Aubrey is also a member of ArtTable’s New York Chapter.

Aubrey Catrone is an international art historian, appraiser, and provenance researcher. Aubrey earned an MA in History of Art from University College London, specializing in the documented histories of art objects and is a member of the Appraisers Association of America. With an art gallery and academic research background, Catrone founded Proper Provenance, LLC to provide her clients with the tools, not only to historically contextualize art, but also to shed light on attribution and legal title within the international art market.

Catrone has researched artworks, paintings, artefacts, works on paper, prints, and sculptures spanning the fourth century B.C. to the twenty-first century A.D. She continues to volunteer with the Cultural Plunder by the Einsatzstab Reichsleiter Rosenberg: Jeu de Paume Database.
