Virtual | Discovering Digital – Making Sense of NFT Platforms
April 28, 2022 | 12:00 pm
9am PT/10am MT/11am CT/12pm ET
To celebrate the one-year anniversary of the “Discovering Digital” series, we are bringing together four leading voices of the art crypto community. Please join Amanda Cassatt, Co-Founder and President of Mojito (Sotheby’s Metaverse), Marisa Kayyem, Chief Curator of LiveArt and LiveArtX Studio, Stephanie Pereira, VP of Creator Success at Rally for a discussion on NFT marketplaces and the opportunities they offer art world professionals. The discussion will be moderated by Elena Zavelev, Co-Founder and CEO of CADAF Digital Art Fair.
More than $17 billion worth of NFTs were traded in 2021 and the market is expected to grow to more than $35 billion this year. Artists and collectors are now embracing blockchain-based technologies and NFT marketplaces have proliferated, many of them with specific focus or niche. But what is an NFT platform? How do you buy and sell an NFT? How are marketplaces different? Our panelists will share an overview of the space, the platforms they are building, and discuss what makes a successful NFT project.
